Testing Siteimprove SSO login

Modified on: Wed, 19 Aug, 2026 at 9:47 PM

Summary

Setting up Single Sign-On (SSO) will make changes to your Siteimprove account. To make sure that your SSO is working properly after it has been enabled, we suggest testing it with a handful of users first before changing all the users.

This short guide will show you how to test SSO with a handful of users in two different scenarios:

Changing the current user login method

  1. Navigate to settings in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on Users > Manage Users.
  3. Select the users you would like to test with SSO. The bulk actions will appear above the user's table.
  4. Click on edit login method.
  5. In the modal dialog that appears, choose login method Single Sign-On and choose Selected users only.
  6. Save changes.
  7. Log in via your Identity provider and test the login.

Testing just in time provisioning

  1. Create a new user in your Identity Provider (IDP).
  2. Use the link provided by Siteimprove for SSO login, which should look similar to this: https://my2.siteimprove.com/Auth/Saml2/id.
  3. Check if the user has been provisioned and works as expected.
