What is the difference between CMS Deeplink and Siteimprove CMS Plugin?

Modified on: Tue, 10 Aug, 2021 at 7:34 AM

This article is intended to explain the difference between CMS Deeplink and Siteimprove's CMS Plugin.

Once Siteimprove has identified an issue for you to correct, such as a broken link or a misspelling, the next step is to actually go and fix it. CMS deeplinking assists with this by creating a link from the Siteimprove Intelligence Platform to the corresponding editing page in your CMS. This can be a big time saver if you have a large database of content or if navigating your CMS is slow and cumbersome.

Essentially, CMS Deeplink is used, and considered very helpful "after-the-fact", when issues are found long after pages have been published. On the other hand, the Siteimprove CMS Plugin allows you to check for issues in the content creation and editing process! Once a page has been published in your CMS, you can order a re-check of the page that will return immediate results for issues. You can then fix those issues, and re-publish the page. The Siteimprove CMS plugin, therefore, allows you to get things right the first time: presenting an error-free page to your users.
