How do I edit Readability settings for my site?

Readability tests show you how easy-to-read your websites are. The Readability tests used for a site are selected based on the language and type of content being checked. By default, the Readability feature is enabled for all sites. You can customize these settings by disabling individual tests or selecting a different Readability test for your site.

Prerequisites

Before editing Readability settings:

  • You have access to the site you want to configure.
  • The site is available within your Siteimprove account.
  • You have permission to access Readability settings.

How to Edit Readability Settings for Your Site

The Readability tests are chosen based on the language and type of content that is being checked. By default, the Readability feature will be enabled on all sites.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Content > Readability.
  2. To disable a test, use the Enabled/Disabled toggle.
  3. To change the Readability test being used, select the Edit button to the right of the site table.

Expected Outcome

After completing these steps:

  • The selected Readability settings are updated for the site.
  • Disabled tests will no longer be used for that site.
  • Any newly selected Readability test will be applied according to the site's language and content configuration.
