Single Sign On Version 1 Deprecation

Modified on: Thu, 14 Oct, 2021 at 2:18 PM

What is happening?

Siteimprove is discontinuing support for Single Sign On (SSO) version 1 as we have a new, improved and more secure SSO v2 solution which will not be utilizing the deprecated TLS encryption protocols TLS 1.0 / 1.1.

When will this happen?

Siteimprove SSOv1 will stop working on Dec. 2nd, 2020.

Why should you care?

Account Owners of your account have been notified if your account is configured to use SSOv1.

The integration your company has set up to utilize SSO with the Siteimprove platform will stop
working unless you migrate to our SSOv2 solution.

What do you need to do?

Make sure to have your IT department (or whoever configured your current SSOv1 setup) migrate to the new and improved SSOv2 solution..

You need to migrate to an environment which provides support for TLS 1.2/1.3.

Read about how to setup SSOv2

The migration configuration is carried out via the platform at:

Settings > Authentication and Security > Single Sign-On

You can find more information about the improvements and instructions on
how to switch to the SSOv2 within the platform on the Single Sign-On configuration page.
