Tracking Accessibility Regulations with the Compliance Pages

Modified on: Wed, 20 May, 2026 at 7:26 PM

Summary

The Compliance tab in the Accessibility Module provides a focused way to track accessibility issues by specific regulations (such as EAA and ADA Title II), helping teams monitor compliance progress, filter relevant issues, and support reporting and audits.

Overview

The new Compliance tab in the Accessibility Module gives you a focused way to track and manage accessibility issues related to specific regulations, starting with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and ADA Title II.

Within this tab, you’ll find dedicated pages for each regulation.

These pages surface only the rules and issues that apply to the selected regulation, making it easier to build dashboards and reports tailored to compliance efforts.

Note: Please work with your legal team to ensure your team meets your specific regional compliance standards. These dashboards are comprehensive, but not fully exhaustive.

What it is

Compliance Overview

The Compliance Overview gives you a quick summary of your organization’s progress toward major accessibility regulations.

It Includes:

  • Progress toward compliance: overall percentage reflecting your current score.
  • Pages with issues: total number of scanned pages containing accessibility issues.
  • Issues: total number of detected issues.
  • Progress trend: A visual indicator showing changes in compliance over time.

The Compliance Progress chart below the overview helps you visualize how your compliance score and issue count evolve month by month.

You can switch between Score and Issues views and export the data to CSV for reporting or audits.

How it works

The Compliance tab simplifies this process by:

  • Filtering accessibility issues by regulation
  • Highlighting key problem areas
  • Providing data that supports compliance-focused dashboards and reports

This helps your team demonstrate progress and readiness to both internal and external stakeholders.

Why it matters

Upcoming legislation, such as the European Accessibility Act (2025) and evolving ADA requirements in the U.S., are increasing the need for more structured and transparent compliance tracking.

Key benefits

  • Focused views: Only shows issues relevant to the selected regulation
  • No setup required: Automatically pulls from your existing accessibility data
  • Report-ready: Easily supports compliance tracking and stakeholder reporting

Impact on scoring (DCI / Site Target)

How does it impact my DCI or Site Target?

The Compliance feature works as a filter on top of your existing accessibility data. The issues shown are real accessibility issues, and resolving them can improve your DCI score if your organization is measuring progress against the Accessibility Score. However, if you're using the Site Target score instead, these fixes may not impact the score unless the affected issues are included in your organization's configured Site Target. For example, if you’ve set a Site Target of WCAG 2.1 A, fixing issues for EAA (which uses the WCAG 2.1 AA standard) may not increase the Site Target.

Even if the progress isn’t reflected in Site Target metrics, fixing these issues still contributes meaningfully to your overall accessibility performance and compliance readiness.

FAQs

Do I need to configure anything to use the Compliance tab?

No. Your existing accessibility data is automatically filtered and displayed. If your organization is actively scanning pages, you’ll see results immediately.

Which users can access the Compliance tab?

The tab is available to all users with access to the Accessibility module.

Can I export the data?

Yes. You can build dashboards and export issue lists directly from the individual issue pages.

Are more regulations going to be added?

Yes. Additional regulatory views will be introduced over time. Our goal is to help organizations address accessibility compliance across regions and industries.

Does this impact my DCI score?

Yes. Solving issues shown in the Compliance feature can improve your DCI score, as these are real accessibility issues already present in your data.

This feature does not negatively affect your DCI score; it simply highlights existing issues that may have gone unnoticed. If you're using a Site Target, the score impact depends on whether the affected pages or criteria are included in your target configuration.

  • It provides dashboards and metrics for monitoring compliance progress
  • It supports reporting and audit readiness without additional setup
  • Regulatory filtering does not always directly impact Site Target scores
