February 2026 release notes:
Product updates and new capabilities we released to the Siteimprove platform in February. Designed to enhance your experience and help you achieve more with ease and efficiency.
The February release includes:
- New feature: PDF Validate
- Re-enabled: Document titles
- Jira on-prem authentication upgrade (OAuth 2.0)
1. New feature: PDF Validate
PDF Validate helps you test PDFs for accessibility issues before they go live on your website. Upload your PDFs and get instant accessibility insights and a status indication of whether your PDF passed or failed the accessibility test. This allows you to fix accessibility problems early, preventing the need for later rework.
PDF Validate checks whether your PDF is:
- Machine-readable
- Properly tagged
- Aligned with WCAG 2 and PDF/UA
Accessible PDFs are becoming increasingly important, especially with the implementation of regulations like the EAA and ADA.
You can access PDF Validate directly in the platform: Accessibility > PDFs > PDF Validate. If you can't see the new feature, it is because your Siteimprove user was custom made by your Account Administrator or Account Owner. They can grant PDF Validate permissions to your user via Settings > Users > Roles.

2. Re-enabled: Document titles
We’re excited to announce that we’ve reintroduced the ability to automatically fetch document titles for files linked on your website. This enhancement restores a key metadata enrichment feature that users have requested.
What’s new?
Our platform will now attempt to retrieve the title metadata from documents (such as PDFs, Word documents, and other supported file types) whenever they are linked from your site and tracked through our analytics.
What this means for you
- Document titles will now be populated in relevant reports and analytics views.
- Improved clarity when analyzing document interactions.
- Improved filtering, searching, and reporting thanks to descriptive page titles.
Why this matters
Accurate document titles help you better understand which pieces of content resonate with your audience - especially when similarly named files or URLs offer limited insight. This update enhances your ability to easily analyze the performance of downloadable resources and other key assets that are being linked to from your website.
3. Jira on-prem authentication upgrade (OAuth 2.0)
We’ve upgraded the Siteimprove Jira on‑premises integration to support OAuth 2.0, replacing the deprecated OAuth 1.0 authentication method.
This update ensures continued compatibility with modern Jira versions while delivering enhanced security, stability, and reliability.
What’s new
- On-prem Jira integration now supports OAuth 2.0
- More secure and robust authentication
- Improved compatibility with modern Jira versions
- Reduced connection issues
Who is affected
This change impacts customers using self-hosted (on-prem) Jira installations - especially those running on newer Jira versions that no longer support OAuth 1.0.
